HM The Queen was reportedly delighted with the new signage infrastructure at the gardens
“This sign represents the new modern garden design and also reflects the gardens heritage,” explains Stocksigns marketing manager Joanna Godden, who adds: “To reinforce this connection, the original slate plaque from HM The Queen’s first official opening opening of the site was incorporated into the sign. The original plaque was then mirrored at the opposite end of the timeline commemorating the 2012 re-design and official re-opening by Her Majesty.”
Designed by The Small Black Room, the project was headed by Stocksigns’ parks and open spaces specialist Adriaan Wijsveld, resulting in a 4.8m-long text and graphics history timeline.
Utilising vitreous enamel pan trays, boards, and lecterns, the project also saw the use of engraved slate and stainless steel.
