BCF awards highlights industry’s progress
The British Coatings Federation (BCF) celebrated the best of the coatings industry at its recent Sustainability Awards evening.

The Crown Paints team won the Sustainable Innovation and Excellence in Training Award at the ceremony
The key theme for the night was progression, both in terms of products, technology and outlook.
The highlight of the evening was the Sustainable Innovation award. Crown Paints took the accolade for Earthbalance, the company wide initiative designed to take a holistic approach to sustainability.
The BCF’s CEO, Tom Bowtell said: “Given the tough economic conditions the coatings industry is still facing, it is encouraging to see such a commitment to innovation, sustainability and training demonstrated in the high quality of entrants in this year’s awards.”
As well as environmental sustainability, the BCF awards focused on the commitment to developing talent within the industry. In this category, Crown Paints were also the recipient of the Excellence in Training Award.
