Former corporate businessman Richard Wheeler has proudly taken ownership of Sign*A*Rama Reading, following a recent redundancy after 25 years of service.  He now has the stated aim of  growing the franchise and increasing its market share.

“It doesn’t matter whether you’re a local shop or a builder, a firm of solicitors or a children’s nursery, good clear signage is an important way of promoting your business,” states Wheeler, adding: “Like many people who decide to go into business for themselves, it was the desire for a new challenge.”

With the UK economy under continued pressure, the franchise business model is becoming increasingly popular, as many experienced business heads find themselves without a job.
