Messagemaker was contracted to supply a total of 50 signs to be placed on Nottinghamshire roads
The firm created a total of 50 new signs that will be placed on roads across the county, in order to reach out to as many motorists as possible to make the awareness drive a success.
Activated by internally-mounted radar, the signs give dynamic feedback to drivers, and are designed to effect a long-term change in speed behaviour.
The firm also claims the technology offers a cost-effective alternative to cameras and are much more visual than static signs—meaning drivers are more likely to pay attention to them and adhere to the messages that they display.
The slimline solution offered by Messagemaker meant the local council was able to mount the signage on existing street light columns throughout the county—helping save on additional installation costs.
In addition, the systems also allow the council to alter the trigger speeds if necessary.
