The Praxis graphics will hang in the National Maritime Museum, helping raise awareness of the special exhibition

Exhibitions graphics specialist Praxis London has reported a bump in commissions following its high-profile installation of a graphic series to mark the start of the Royal River exhibition at the National Maritime Museum in Greenwich, London.

Royal River: Power, Pageantry and the Thames was opened to coincide with Her Majesty the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee in June, with celebrations set to take place all over the country to mark the occasion. The exhibition shows how the River Thames has been used to host a number of royal events throughout the centuries.

The graphics, which reflect the theme of the exhibition’s theme of royal processions on the river, were chosen by the museum’s designers, and then reproduced and installed by Praxis. Graphics have also been placed in the reception area of the Sammer Ofer Wing—which the museum believes creates a feel of the ‘pomp and ceremony’ featured in the exhibition.

“The environmental graphics produced and installed by Praxis transformed the space in the Sammy Ofer Wing. The team had to overcome significant challenges too along the way, to ensure the Royal opening event went ahead smoothly. Praxis’ graphics are a great solution for the space and one that we can use again and again for forthcoming shows,” explains senior designer at the museum, Michael Martin.

Capitalising on the growth in demand for signage, graphics and event dressing around celebrations such as the Jubilee and sporting events such as the Olympics can see sign-makers gain a much needed concentration of revenue—leading to the possibility of focussed capital investment and business growth.

Praxis opted for high resolution print banners to make effective use of the space
