Spandex has launched new film wraps for the vehicle industry
The materials are used to wrap vehicles in order to protect them from light and environmental damages and abrasions.
While more traditional paint protection films ordinarily offer the customer one function, the STEK DYNO range allows buyers to choose from a range of products with specific attributes.
For manufacturers who want to make sure vehicles can withstand muddy, wet conditions the suitably named hydrophobic film has a special coating to protect against liquids.
To cater for drivers conscious of venturing into insect heavy terrain or rainy conditions, which both expose vehicles to acidity, the anti-acid film has been designed to provide a barrier.
Paint protection is a rapidly growing business for many technical vehicle wrappers, but it demands high performance products to meet customer expectations”
Leon Watson, general manager at Spandex UK, says: “Paint protection is a rapidly growing business for many technical vehicle wrappers, but it demands high performance products to meet customer expectations.
“We look forward to distributing STEK premium films, whilst supplying training and support to our growing community of wrap customers who are keen to expand their services.”
According to Spandex, if consumers want to create an aesthetic finish, they can choose products with carbon fibre and metallic finishes.
The films also do not need to be maintained with car wax or polish, so customers do not need to reach into their pockets for aftercare solutions.
