Textile specialist Kornit Digital launches the Storm Hexa at FESPA Digital, taking aspects from its high-productivity systems for a mid-level machine for the first time
The Storm printers are Kornit’s bestselling systems in its portfolio, and at FESPA the company introduced the Storm Hexa, taking aspects previously only available on the high-productivity Avalanche series, such as an integrated humidifier, back-up battery system, and recirculated Polaris print heads.
Director of marketing EMEA Oliver Luedtke says: “Kornit is one of the only vendors with a range of systems, from our entry level Breeze to the high-productivity Avalanche, the Storm is the mid-level system.
“This is the new generation of the Storm, available in the Hexa configuration, with additional red and additional green on top of the normal CMYK, so you have a really great colour gamut and will be able to match spot colours, brand colours, and produce promotional textiles.
“We are bringing the Hexa configuration to more platforms - it’s really productive, reduces ink consumption, and optimises throughput. We are very proud to have it here.”
Among other products from its portfolio, Kornit also showcased the Avalanche Hexa, and its latest Neopigment inks that are the basis for the company’s unique printing process used in its systems.

On the importance of exhibiting at FESPA, Luedtke concludes: “FESPA is still our 'bread and butter' show, so a lot of our customers come from the signage, graphic arts, and super-wide printing side trying to expand into textile.
Another range of potential customers would be customers producing garments using screen printing carousels.
“FESPA textile is one of the very dedicated events to address this audience so we are very happy to come to FESPA, it’s a very good show and it always produces good results for us.”
