It joins six HP Latex 600 devices and one 850 already in place at the Italian commercial printer headquarters.
Pixart says the purchase is required to meet increased demand for wide-format output, something which helped turnover at the firm jump £9.5m to £41.5m last year.
“Our productivity needs require industrial systems, and a while ago we started a constructive cooperation with HP research and development department to express these needs and give our contribution for the finalisation of better performing solutions,” says Allessandro Tenderini, general manager at Pixart Printing.
The machine is being well received by customers who HP work closely with – the display model on its FESPA stand will be installed at Kent-based Presson after the show. It will be the world's first installation of the device.
The exhibition also marks the first public outing since it rebranded all printers featuring its latex technology as HP Latex.
