Intel set for Evaluation of digital

Intel has announced the launch of its Digital Signage Evaluation Kit-12 (DSEK-12), which the firm claims has been designed to enable, ‘faster deployment’ of digital signage technologies across a range of markets.

“The new Intel solution helps streamline the development and deployment process of digital signage, allowing companies to spend more time crafting engaging content and less time dealing with software integration,” comments director of visual retail at Intel, Jose Avalos.

The retail and advertising sectors are key markets for digital signage

The markets the technology could help include the retail, healthcare and transportation sector, with the manufacturer also claiming it will help, ‘streamline the digital signage evaluation process’, while reducing costs.

The DESK-12 also features technologies from Intel, Kontron and Microsoft in what it describes as a, ‘pre-loaded and validated system’.

Avalos also says the retail and advertising sectors are key markets for digital signage, claiming the technology will reach 10 million media players, and a corresponding 22 million digital signs by 2015—showing a growing demand for digital signage kit.
