In this his first marathon attempt, Mike completed the course in three hours, 52 minutes and 31 seconds. He reportedly maintained a steady pace throughout the duration of the course, and finished in the top 25 percent of runners taking part. Yet the experience has not put him off running—Mike is already back in training and hoping to compete in the London marathon again next year, with the aim of beating this year’s time.

A cause close to Boxall’s heart, Spectra’s staff were reportedly instrumental in spurring him on during training and campaigning to raise the funds.
The company specialises in LED displays for both indoor and outdoor applications, and has also diversified its operations and now caters for high-resolution digital LCD displays.
