HP Latex 3000 features dual-roll capability, which allows it to process two 1.6m rolls at once

First launched at FESPA 2013, the 3.2m wide device can reach print speeds of up to 180sq m/hr and features dual-roll capability, which allows it to process two 1.6m rolls at once.

HP claims the machine can be used to produce a host of different applications, ranging from indoor applications to high-margin interior décor and wallpaper work that is currently gaining traction in the industry.

Jon Telling, sales director at Perfect Colours, comments: “It makes total sense for Perfect Colours to provide the Latex 3000, not only for our ever-expanding base of HP Latex users in the UK but also those hungry for a high-productivity alternative in roll-to-roll.

In line with our other recent portfolio additions and our dedication to service, we're confident that Perfect Colours now provides the most comprehensive range of graphics production options in the country

Users are able to apply lamination immediately after printing, but HP explains that many customers opt to skip this step due to the scratch resistance quality of the output—which the manufacturer likens to that of hard solvent on PVC banner or self-adhesive vinyl.

HP says it also performs well on heat-sensitive materials and textiles and is available with an optional ink collector that it says will help users access untapped markets via new substrates, such as unlined mesh, scrim, voile or flag.
