The FC8000-60 plotter/cutter has improved production at Cerrig-Granite and Slate
North Wales-based Cerrig-Granite and Slate has praised the impact an FC8000-60 plotter/cutter has had on business.
Supplied by exclusive UK distributor Graphtec GB, the machine has helped the firm manufacture intricate and complex stonework. The Welsh company’s director, Ian Williams, says it has sped up production at the site and overall improved the quality of service.
“A combination of the Flexi 10 software and the Graphtec plotter/cutter has made our production more efficient, with a reduced PC time when creating drawings and customer specifications through to increased cutting speeds on larger projects,” comments Williams.
The FC8000-60 has a maximum speed of 1,485mm/s and incorporates Graphtec’s Advanced Registration Mark System (ARMS), which claims to improve accuracy and production speed further.
The signage industry has seen turnover rise at the firm and, although not a main part of the business, has manufactured signs for high-end clients – something that could be improved further still with the FC8000-60.
