EFI claims new benchmarks
EFI has unveiled grand plans for its latest Vutek print technology, with its new 3r and 5r systems touring the globe from Shanghai to Las Vegas and Hamburg.

EFI has turned up the heat in the wide-format print sector with the release of the EFI Vutek 3r and 5r
As it revealed its marketing strategy, EFI released this statement: “The new printers are the most technically advanced LED roll-to-roll printers on the market, designed to offer the highest image quality at the highest rated throughput speeds, with a range of options to drive efficiencies in the production process and expand the capabilities customers can offer.”

Indeed, they offer 1200dpi, 7pl print heads, a claim that a single litre of ink can cover 149sq m of print (1,603sq ft), and speeds of 315 and 455sq m/h respectively for the 3r and 5r systems.
“We have listened to our customers,” said Scott Schinlever, senior vice president and general manager, EFI Inkjet on the release of the news.
He adds: “They are pushing the envelope in terms of the applications they are producing and the speed and quality with which they can do so. Our response is continued innovation.”
