Sihl Direct UK claims companies can save significantly on their carbon footprint by selecting from the TriSolv range

Large-format materials supplier Sihl Direct UK has introduced TriSolv, a new paper product the firm says offers an environmentally-friendly alternative to self-adhesive vinyl films.

Manufacturers say the paper can be used in the same way as such films, but is ‘much less harmful’ to dispose of.

Businesses often use free standing or suspended panels for advertising and these are majorly made of plastic laminate materials in combination with films. After campaigns have finished, these materials need to be disposed of and as it does not decompose, it instead has to be burnt at a waste incineration plant.

TriSolv PrimeArt paper SA 275 glossy 3685 and TriSolv PrimeArt paper blueback SA 210 glossy 3682 are now available for those who deal with solvent inks and are ideal for cardboard or pulp board uses. Sihl claims signs made this way create less of a carbon footprint and therefore offer an added green incentive.

“As a business Sihl is always looking for a green alternative. TriSolv is a good example of an environmentally-friendly product, but one which also works,” explains operations director at Sihl, Ian Turnbull, adding: “The construction enables brilliant posters that can help the user to save up to 30 percent ink. The range is tried and tested and proven to exceed the demands of the market.”
