Managing director Andy Hallas says he spied a gap in the market he could put the machine to use in
Leicester-based Manor Printing has joined a growing legion of litho printers entering the wide-format arena, following its purchase of an AGFA :Anapurna M2050.
Managing director Allan Hallas says it was a market driven purchase in response to customer demand for 'flatbed printing'.
It is a further example of how sign-makers traditional base is being impacted on by commercial printers searching for new, higher margin revenue streams.
“There seemed to be a gap in the market for this kind of quality work. This machine is able to print on the kind of substrate that we can't get through a litho press,” adds Hallas.
He also says the firm has now been able to boost its revenues as it 'can bring in-house' jobs that would previously have been outsourced to specialist printers.
The firm has also upgraded all of its prepress delivery systems to Agfa :Apogee workflow.
