Crystal Displays’ 46" freestanding digital poster helps to target high footfall areas

Kent-based Crystal Display Systems has launched a new range of easy-to-use digital displays.

Designed with the aim to help static sign-makers expand into the digital sector, the displays do not require a PC or networking, and are targeted at sign-makers who have no previous knowledge or experience in digital.

“We’ve noticed that digital signage is growing up and becoming an important part of the retail market,” says Chris Bartram, managing director at Crystal Display, who adds:  “With us you get a digital signage system but without the networking capability, so you don’t have to commit to cost involvement or resources, and you don’t need the expertise. We are now offering a chance for businesses to get into digital as a first base.”

Crystal has produced a straightforward ‘save plug and play’ system, where content is loaded in the order it is to be displayed on to a USB stick, this is then inserted into the screen.

Bartram continues: “It can be quite difficult for companies who have been around for a long time to take the leap into something different, but it’s a case of having to develop. This system does not impact the remaining sides of a business, but allows a company to move into another channel.”

The use of digital signage in retail locations has almost quadrupled in the last three years. As an addition to their product range, Crystal Display is now shipping Samsung transparent displays with touch screen interaction, in 22” and 46” sizes. Both of which are now available with high quality / high transmissivity infraRed touch screens.
