Signmaster and Seiko reveal wide ambition
In a news that was revealed at a bumper Sign and Digital UK 2014, Signmaster Systems, its sister company S2 Digital, and Seiko Instruments have pledged a new partnership will achieve much higher levels of market share for the latter in the UK with its M and W series of wide-format print technology.

Speaking to exclusively to
SignLink at the show, Seiko’s head of sales Frank Janschke said: “The M Series is not just a brand new printer, it’s a brand new platform for the next generation of ink technologies. It has more than 100 new innovations to make the sign-maker’s life easier and their businesses more productive, efficient and profitable. I am very, very proud to be working with Signmaster to demonstrate the excellence of our technology.”

Signmaster Systems’ managing director Phil George commented: “The new sales structure we have in place enables us to now offer the product at a more competitive price to fall in line with the other big Japanese brands. The speed together with quality and precision must not be ignored. This new relationship with Seiko has enabled us to offer new rules, new prices, and new packages.”

Equipped with low odour eco-solvent SX-ink, the star attraction on the Signmaster stand was the ColorPainter M-64s (See SignLink May p50 for our special Under the Hood review). Also on show was the super-fast ColorPainter H2-104s, which prints up to 100sq m/h, and the ColourPainter W-64s and W-54s. Uniquely at the show, the W-54s was used to demonstrate Seiko’s Neon Inks.
