Autodesk set for Delcam purchase

US CAD software manufacturer Autodesk is set to purchase UK-based software solutions provider Delacam in a deal worth £17.5m, according to Reuters.

“Together Autodesk and Delcam will help further the development and implementation of technology for digital manufacturing,” explains Autodesk’s chief executive, Carl Bass.

Delcam’s software is used by a number of UK sign-makers for routing work,
 
Autodesk is reported to have offered Delcam £0.75 per share. The firm says it will use non-US-based cash for the deal.
