Canon adds two models to imagePROGRAF range

Canon has added two models to its imagePROGRAF range of wide-format printers - the iPF6400S and iPF8400S devices replace the older iPF6300S and iPF8300S models

Targeted at the POS, poster and exhibition's markets the eight-colour machines both feature the manufacturers 'Hot Swap' ink and colour density sensors, which it claims offers superior ink quality and uninterrupted printing.

“The upgrades to the iPF6400S and iPF8400S are designed to enhance image quality, productivity and usability,” says Duncan Smith, wide-format group director, Canon UK.

He adds: “We are continually listening to what customers need, and expect, from their printers and these latest updates reflect this feedback and are, as always, enabling us to offer even stronger and more versatile products.”

The 6400S model has the option for a spectrophotometer for colour management which can be packaged with its Colour Calibration Management Console software. Users can also have a larger 300ml ink tank on top of the standard 130ml.

Both also come with an additional 90GB of disk space giving an increased total of 250GB.
