The Roland DG Creative Centre general manager, Joe Wigzell, has put together an application wall, which will showcase techniques such as the design to output process, wall graphics, dye-sublimation printing, and backlit panels.
“I really wanted to inspire guests visiting our headquarters and capture the imagination of dealers, customers, and colleagues about what can be achieved using Roland DG technology,” says Wigzell.
By demonstrating how the design process works—from initial sketches through to application and merging a range of technologies—I wanted to create an embodiment of our ethos, ‘Transforming your Imagination into Reality’”
He continues: “By demonstrating how the design process works—from initial sketches through to application and merging a range of technologies—I wanted to create an embodiment of our ethos, ‘Transforming your Imagination into Reality’.”
Not only does the wall advertise just what Roland DG equipment can do, it also demonstrates what can be learned on a training course at the Roland DG UK Academy and Creative Centre. The wall took two weeks to complete, and also displays work created by machines that are popular with artists, such as the Modela MDX-540 benchtop milling machine.
Courses at the centre include intermediate digital print, Versa LEF courses, and vehicle wrapping.
